4. Local Storage
In addition to cookies, ScanLedger uses browser local storage to persist certain client-side preferences such as your authentication token (as a fallback when cookies are unavailable), selected workspace, currency preference, and onboarding progress. Local storage data stays on your device and is not transmitted to our servers automatically — it is read only by the ScanLedger application running in your browser.
